Pack Meeting

We are so excited about what has happened to our cubscout program. Nathan use to be 1 of 3 boys that would show up. We've had this huge influx of new families and we have 12-15 boys who show up on a regular basis. Not to mention 4-5 that are Nathan's age. We have been praying for more families with boys to move into the ward. I personally find this VERY exciting because it means an 11 year old scouting program will happen. YEAH!!

Also congrats to Nate on earning his "family member" award. Now that he's an arrow of light/Weeblos he just get to have fun now.

Early morning sunrise and rainbow

I've said it before but if Chris is going to take all these pictures then I guess I better put them up on the blog. I have put my foot down twice now and told him he can't bring the camera on our walks. It's distracting to have him stop every 10 feet for another picture.

Stain fighting genius

I can hardly contain my excitement. I got a call today from Nate's school that he'd slipped in the mud at recess and he needed some dry clothes. When I got the "dirty" ones home I realized just how dirty they were. Literally, caked on mud on khaki colored chinos. Yeah.

This last Thanksgiving while visiting my Mom she told me about this stain remover.

She swears by this stuff so I bought some but hadn't had a chance to use it yet. WOW!!!! I spritzed the chinos liberally (and I mean liberally) in Oxi Clean then let it sit for 10 minutes. I then, pre-washed it with Tide and a stain release tablet. HOLY COW. There is NOTHING on his clothes. I mean they are SO clean. I thought for sure I'd be throwing the pants away. Who wants to wear pants with a brown butt? Not a good look for anyone. I am a firm believer that this stuff works and every Mom should have it in her laundry room.

Basketball Saturday

The scoreboard is too prove that we actually won a game. Our team isn't the best to say the least and unfortunately, the team we beat was a younger team. Oh well. I guess it's still a win.

When I see Nate in this stance I'm pretty sure that's what I look like when I'm annoyed too.

The parents get bored after a while of yelling at the kids so we have to entertain ourselves.

Driving to the basket.

Getting ready to rebound. Nate has turned into a little scrapper this year. Way to go buddy.

We had the first game of the day. 9am. Lucky for us the ceiling had a leak and the floor was getting wet. We didn't start playing until about 9:30 and then only half court. That was odd but at least we were seated on the end of the court where all the action was.

For Sale

10 year old child. Full of spit and vinegar. Annoying as all get out and moody to boot. I'm pretty sure that the "teenage" years start a lot earlier then 12. Good grief. It went a little something like this....

I'm bored, says the child. Mom encouraged plenty of activities to no avail. Mom is now getting annoyed. It's not like I don't have a hundred other things to accomplish today and good grief you're too old to act like a 3 year old.

Child has gift card to academy. We go to the store but he can't find anything. Tears. Geez. Are you kidding me? Mom offers cash in return she'll use the gift card. Muttering under his breath all the way home.

Get home. Mom is now moody, annoyed, and full of spit and vinegar. Child to Mom. I'm sorry for being a pill. I'll try to be better. Now child feels better but Mom still has to get rid of her angry eyes. AHHHHH!!!!! Saturday. What fun.

I tried download 2 pics at at time with no luck so....what a tedious process. We went to Little Rock to visit some friends and the boys went bowling while the girls went to the spa. Sounds like a fair trade to me.

If I do one picture at a time and have another project to work on eventually I can get the pictures to download. These are Chris playing with his new camera. He really wants to photoshop the powerlines out of the picture but he doesn't have any time now that CFIC has started. You should see the Honey-to-Do list that's not getting done either.
